Receiving Inspector - Quality

Overview

Strata-G Solutions is seeking a Receiving Quality Inspector to verify that incoming materials and parts meet purchase order and quality requirements before they enter production or inventory.

Essential Functions

• Receive deliveries and inspect packages for visible damage.
• Verify part identification, quantities, and accompanying documentation against purchase orders and supplier paperwork.
• Inspect incoming parts and materials using applicable procedures and tools such as, tape measures, calipers, and scales.
• Document inspection results, enter accurate information into company systems, and prepare routine reports or correspondence.
• Work collaboratively with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, suppliers, and customers as needed to resolve discrepancies.
• Follow established procedures and best practices and support other activities as assigned.

Physical Requirements

The position involves standing, walking, climbing, and sitting; using inspection tools and computers; and handling small parts requiring visual acuity and manual dexterity. Lifting may be required in accordance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or a materials-related role.
• Costpoint experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of inspection techniques and the ability to use measuring tools.
• Basic computer and math skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and compare purchase orders, supplier documentation, and part information.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to meet the pre-employment drug screening requirement.
