Job Description

The Human Resources Systems Intern will support the HR team in the administration, maintenance, and improvement of key HR systems and processes. This role will gain hands-on experience with platforms such as Workday, including payroll-related processes, Legion, Phenom, Microsoft Excel, and related HR tools while assisting with data entry, reporting, process documentation, troubleshooting, and system support. The position will help streamline HR processes, improve accuracy, and build systems expertise that supports both corporate and field teams. 

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day HR systems administration and data maintenance within platforms such as Workday, Legion, Phenom, and related tools

• Assist with reporting, data entry, audits, and tracking using Microsoft Excel and other HR reporting resources

• Help document HR system processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures for internal use

• Support onboarding, recruiting, scheduling, payroll processes in Workday, and employee data processes through HR technology platforms

• Assist with troubleshooting basic system questions and routing issues to the appropriate HR or system support partner

• Contribute to special projects focused on process improvement, automation, data accuracy, and system efficiency

• Participate in professional development opportunities such as training, leadership meetings, project work, and shadowing experiences

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to work as a team member with an enthusiastic attitude, Effective collaboration and communication skills, able to work across multiple teams, Interest in HR systems, data management, reporting, and process improvement, Proficient analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, maintain accuracy, and work independently, Strong Excel proficiency required

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university and/or recent graduate with or pursuing a relevant degree (e.g. HR, Business Administration, etc.)
• Available to work standard hours M-F at corporate office location in Lenexa, KS
• Retail experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
• Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen
• Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds (e.g., promotional materials, product samples, etc)

Pay Range

$18.00 - $22.00
