The Director Product Management ORBIS is accountable for the end-to-end product strategy, value delivery, and adoption of the ORBIS portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the role owns the definition and execution of the ORBIS product vision, roadmap, and outcomes across global and regional markets.
The role ensures that ORBIS operates as a product- and workflow-led organisation, with a strong standard core, controlled regional variation, and clear boundaries between product, configuration, and services. Acting through cross-functional teams, the Director Product ORBIS is responsible for ensuring that product priorities translate into measurable customer and business outcomes.
Own and execute the ORBIS product strategy and roadmap in alignment with portfolio priorities defined by the CPO
Be accountable for product delivery outcomes, including customer value, adoption, and overall product quality
Define and govern the ORBIS product structure, including standard core, regional variations, and service-enabled configurations
Lead and prioritise product demand across markets, ensuring disciplined backlog management and protection of delivery capacity
Ensure that product teams are aligned to clear product outcomes, success metrics, and value hypotheses
Decide trade-offs across products, markets, and initiatives to maximise portfolio-level value and strategic impact
Partner closely with Director Engineering ORBIS to align product priorities with engineering, architectural and delivery constraints
Act as the senior product interface for key customers, markets, and internal stakeholders on product direction and outcomes
Contribute to group-level product governance, ensuring ORBIS priorities are balanced with the broader Dedalus portfolio
EDUCATION
The future incumbent holds a graduate degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration. Alternative degrees and/or a proven and successful track record in the relevant field are also possible.
EXPERIENCE
The future incumbent has got +/-10 years of relevant experience in a mid to large-cap/ enterprise software company. It is crucial to have gained extensive experience in product management, product development or other relevant product related work experience in the software industry. A proven track record in creating, developing and deploying intuitive software as cloud based digital products (SaaS) for large enterprises is also a benefit.
In terms of leadership the candidate has +/-5 years of experience in a direct leading position. A proven history of managing and developing high performing product management teams is a must. The ability to work with cross functional teams and multinational teams such as sales & service, R&D, finance, regulatory, quality assurance and/or other departments throughout the organization is necessary.
The future incumbent must be experienced in agile software development/ agile development methods. Multi project management experience is also a benefit.
The candidate has got +/-5 years experience in the role of a Head of Product Management, Head of Software Development or Head of Solution in a technology, software or application environment.
