Overview

LMI is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Developer to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) enterprise contact center technology training initiative. This is a remote position supporting the development and modernization of training content for VA contact center personnel across multiple learning paths, including Agent, Supervisor, Workforce Engagement Management (WEM), Quality Management, Knowledge Management, and Reporting & Analytics. The Multimedia Developer will work closely with curriculum designers, curriculum writers/editors, instructional designers, technical subject matter experts, and training operations personnel to transform existing recorded training sessions, training aids, job aids, desk-side references, and other source materials into polished, engaging, reusable, and accessible self-paced learning modules and downloadable training resources suitable for deployment through VA's Talent Management System (TMS).

Responsibilities

The Multimedia Developer will be responsible for taking existing and newly developed training content and transforming it into professional, learner-focused multimedia products that support VA's modular enterprise training strategy. The position will combine video production, audio editing, screen capture, graphics development, animation, instructional media design, and document production to create consistent and reusable learning assets across multiple contact center learning pathways. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with curriculum designers to determine how raw training recordings and supporting materials should be edited, enhanced, segmented, captioned, annotated, and packaged for self-paced learning. The Multimedia Developer will also support the development of downloadable training aids and desk-side references that complement the formal curriculum and enable VA employees to perform role-specific tasks after completing training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Professionally edit training sessions recorded via MS Teams (or other recording technologies) into concise, engaging, and logically sequenced self-paced learning modules.
  • Review source recordings and training materials to identify opportunities for editing, enhancement, segmentation, annotation, and reuse.
  • Transform long-form instructor-led training recordings into appropriately sized learning objects that can be incorporated into modular VA TMS learning paths.
  • Develop and edit screen recordings demonstrating contact center technology functionality, workflows, navigation, and task execution.
  • Incorporate professional transitions, callouts, annotations, highlights, graphics, screenshots, cursor emphasis, and other visual enhancements that improve learner comprehension.
  • Edit and enhance audio to improve clarity, consistency, volume, and overall production quality.
  • Develop supporting visual assets, including diagrams, process illustrations, icons, screenshots, title cards, instructional graphics, and other multimedia elements.
  • Create downloadable job aids, quick-reference guides, desk-side references, and other performance-support materials based on curriculum content and SME input.
  • Work with curriculum designers and writers/editors to determine the appropriate multimedia treatment for individual learning objectives and topics.
  • Convert source materials into standardized, reusable multimedia components that can be incorporated into multiple VA learning pathways without unnecessary duplication.
  • Apply established VA and project-specific branding, formatting, naming, file-management, and production standards to all multimedia products.
  • Incorporate closed captions, transcripts, descriptive text, accessible graphics, and other accessibility features in coordination with LMI’s 508 Compliance Specialist.
  • Support remediation of existing non-508-compliant videos and multimedia products for eventual deployment through VA TMS.
  • Ensure multimedia products are optimized for the intended delivery environment, including TMS, web-based learning, downloadable resources, and VA-approved collaboration platforms.
  • Maintain organized source files, editable project files, final production files, transcripts, graphics, and other production assets to support future updates and sustainment.
  • Participate in content reviews with curriculum designers, technical SMEs, VA stakeholders, and accessibility specialists.
  • Incorporate review comments and revisions while maintaining version control and production schedules.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of completed multimedia products to verify technical accuracy, audio/video quality, visual consistency, accessibility features, and alignment with approved curriculum content.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the learner experience through appropriate use of video, animation, graphics, demonstrations, simulations, and other multimedia techniques.
  • Support rapid production of multimedia assets in response to Genesys Cloud CX configuration changes, curriculum updates, or VA operational requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a reusable multimedia asset library supporting the VA enterprise training program.
  • Support the development of Train-the-Trainer materials and other instructor-support products as directed.
  • Participate in sprint planning, production reviews, status meetings, and other team activities necessary to coordinate multimedia development with the broader curriculum development effort.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in multimedia production, instructional technology, graphic design, digital media, communications, education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing and editing multimedia learning content, instructional videos, e-learning assets, or comparable digital training products.
  • Demonstrated experience editing video and audio content for professional or instructional purposes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with professional multimedia production and video-editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, or comparable tools.
  • Experience creating high-quality screen recordings and software demonstrations.
  • Experience developing graphics, visual annotations, callouts, diagrams, screenshots, and other visual learning assets.
  • Experience converting raw or minimally edited recordings into polished, learner-ready instructional content.
  • Experience working collaboratively with instructional designers, curriculum developers, technical SMEs, or other subject matter experts.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical or procedural information into clear and visually understandable learning content.
  • Experience developing job aids, quick-reference materials, desk-side references, or other performance-support resources.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility requirements applicable to digital learning and multimedia content, including captioning, transcripts, accessible documents, and visual accessibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain consistency across a large library of related training products.
  • Ability to manage multiple multimedia development assignments simultaneously while meeting established production schedules and quality standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, highly collaborative, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any VA-required access, security, or background investigation requirements applicable to the position.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting federal government, Department of Veterans Affairs, or other large enterprise training programs.
  • Experience developing training content for contact centers, customer service operations, enterprise technology implementations, or software modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with Genesys Cloud CX or another enterprise contact center platform.
  • Experience developing content for VA's Talent Management System (TMS) or comparable learning management systems.
  • Experience developing SCORM or other LMS-compatible learning objects.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience applying Section 508 accessibility requirements to multimedia, e-learning, video, and downloadable training materials.
  • Experience developing modular learning content that can be reused across multiple role-based learning paths.
  • Experience with instructional design principles, adult learning methodologies, and learning-object design.
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, interactive media, or advanced visual storytelling.
  • Experience developing multimedia for Agent, Supervisor, Workforce Management, Quality Management, Knowledge Management, or Reporting & Analytics training.
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or other iterative content-development environments.
  • Experience managing multimedia source repositories and structured production workflows using tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, or comparable collaboration platforms.

This position is ideal for a creative but highly structured multimedia professional who understands that effective training content is more than simply producing polished video. The strongest candidate will be comfortable working side-by-side with curriculum designers and technical SMEs to decide how complex Genesys Cloud CX concepts should be demonstrated, explained, segmented, and reinforced through multimedia. The ideal candidate combines strong technical production skills with an understanding of adult learning, accessibility, instructional media, and reusable learning-object design. They will be equally comfortable editing a two-hour recorded training session into a series of concise self-paced modules, creating an annotated software demonstration, developing a one-page desk-side reference, or producing the visual assets needed to make a complex technical process easy for a VA employee to understand and apply.

The target salary range for this position goes up to $125,000.

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
