Accounts Payable Specialist (must have Automotive experience)

Description:

This specialist is responsible for processing dealership purchase invoices and recognition of customer accounts. 

Duties:

• Accurately compile and sort purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and statements.
• Generate accurate and timely invoices for automotive products and services rendered to clients.
• Verify invoice details, such as pricing, terms, and discounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to resolve any billing discrepancies promptly.
• Review accounting data on invoices and post daily to UCS computer system.
• Reconcile statements to accounts payable schedule and prepare checks. Issue checks per manager’s check requests.
• Open new payable accounts and obtain necessary information (i.e.W9 forms, resale cards, etc...). 
• Follow-up on delinquent accounts.
• Filing (i.e. accounts payable checks, customer receipts, etc.) Responsible for Sublet schedule.
• Have knowledge of all cashiering functions. 
• Assist in answering dealership phones

Requirements

• Must have Automotive Accounts Payable experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• General mathematical ability (i.e. add, subtract, multiply, and divide, Compute discount, etc.).
• Professional personal appearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and vendors.
• Experience using Reynolds & Reynolds (DMS) preferred.
• Familiarity with automotive products and services, including invoicing specific to the industry, is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
• Proficient using Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
