Marketing Manager
New York City | $100,000–$110,000
Upward On is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our client, a growing, full-service New York City real estate firm. This role will support the firm’s marketing, branding, and communications initiatives across its New Development, Residential Leasing, Sales, and Commercial divisions.
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will work collaboratively with the marketing team, executive leadership, developers, and management to execute integrated marketing strategies that strengthen our client’s brand, elevate its new development portfolio, support agent success, and drive business growth.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and highly organized, with hands-on command of real estate advertising—including listing platforms, email marketing, and CRM campaigns—alongside a strong understanding of branding and project management. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and remaining hands-on in the execution of marketing campaigns. MUST HAVE REAL ESTATE MARKETING EXPERIENCE.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Marketing
- Partner with the Director of Marketing to execute integrated marketing strategies across New Development, Residential Leasing, Commercial, and Sales.
- Help ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels, communications, and creative assets.
- Assist in developing marketing initiatives that support company growth, agent productivity, and client acquisition.
- Support the management of marketing budgets, timelines, vendors, and department priorities.
New Development Marketing
- Execute marketing campaigns for new development projects from pre-launch through lease-up or sellout.
- Collaborate with developers, owners, internal New Development leadership, and external brokerage partners to ensure marketing strategies align with each project’s business objectives.
- Coordinate branding, websites, brochures, floor plans, renderings, photography, signage, presentations, email campaigns, digital advertising, and on-site marketing collateral.
- Help maintain consistent project branding while supporting leasing velocity and sales performance.
- Serve as a marketing resource for internal leasing teams and external brokerage partners by providing marketing materials, updates, and ongoing project support.
Listing & Property Advertising
- Manage listing advertising across StreetEasy, including listing copy, photo selection and sequencing, pricing and availability accuracy, building pages, and paid placements.
- Oversee syndication to Zillow, Trulia, HotPads, Apartments.com, and brokerage feeds, ensuring listing data and creative remain accurate and on-brand across every platform.
- Build and deploy email campaigns in Mailchimp, including new development launches, availability updates, price improvements, and broker blasts, as well as list segmentation, A/B testing, and performance reporting.
- Maintain CRM marketing workflows in Follow Up Boss, including lead routing, drip campaigns, and automated follow-up sequences, in partnership with leasing and sales leadership.
- Ensure all advertising meets fair housing, REBNY/RLS, and New York State Department of State disclosure requirements.
Agent & Brokerage Marketing
- Develop marketing materials that help agents grow their businesses, including listing presentations, brochures, social media content, email campaigns, digital advertising, and print collateral.
- Support recruiting initiatives by creating compelling marketing campaigns that position our client as a brokerage of choice.
- Build and maintain marketing resources, templates, and tools that improve agent productivity and elevate the client experience.
- Partner closely with New Development, Leasing, and Sales leadership to support company initiatives and business objectives.
Digital Marketing & Communications
- Assist in managing our client’s digital marketing efforts, including website content, email marketing, CRM communications, SEO, paid advertising, and social media.
- Coordinate content creation across multiple platforms, including copywriting, photography, video, and graphic design.
- Monitor campaign performance and key marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve future campaigns.
- Support public relations opportunities and company communications.
Vendor & Project Management
- Coordinate external creative agencies, photographers, videographers, designers, printers, and other marketing vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and on-brand.
- Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing workflows, organization, and operational efficiency.
Events & Partnerships
- Coordinate company events, recruiting events, networking opportunities, sponsorships, and New Development launch events.
- Assist with broker open houses, grand openings, property launches, and other marketing activations that support leasing and sales efforts.
- Help build strategic partnerships that increase brand awareness and market presence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of marketing experience, with residential real estate experience strongly preferred.
- Experience marketing New Development projects, residential leasing, and sales in the New York City market.
- Strong understanding of branding, project marketing, and campaign execution within a real estate environment.
- Hands-on experience advertising NYC listings on StreetEasy, including paid placements, building pages, and listing optimization; familiarity with syndication across Zillow, Trulia, HotPads, and Apartments.com.
- Proficiency with Follow Up Boss or a comparable real estate CRM such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or BoomTown, including lead routing, drip campaigns, automated follow-up, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Mailchimp or a comparable email marketing platform, including template building, list segmentation, deliverability, and campaign analytics.
- Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, for rapid production of listing collateral, social assets, and agent-facing templates.
- Working knowledge of real estate advertising standards, including REBNY/RLS listing requirements, fair housing compliance in ad copy and imagery, and NYS DOS advertising disclosure rules.
- Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, paid advertising, and social media marketing.
- Experience working directly with brokers, agents, leasing teams, developers, or ownership groups.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple marketing projects from concept through execution while meeting deadlines.
- Experience coordinating external creative agencies, freelancers, photographers, designers, and other marketing vendors.
- Strong copywriting, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
