Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director to join our team! In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the successful delivery of a large, complex project, overseeing design, construction, commercial, risk, procurement, stakeholder management, and project closeout activities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide overall direction and management of ongoing construction activities to ensure successful project delivery in accordance with the approved schedule and contractual obligations.
Oversee the administration of project contracts in collaboration with the Commercial team, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Lead and manage the design process between Parsons’ design team, the Employer, and the Designer throughout all design stages, ensuring completion of the final design package prior to tender.
Discuss and negotiate changes to the Scope of Work with the Employer and/or Contractors, assess associated risks, and provide direction on implementation and delivery.
Work closely with Parsons’ Commercial, Project Controls, Construction, Technical, and Quality teams to develop and implement plans across all elements of the project.
Oversee project risks and lead the development and implementation of mitigation plans in collaboration with the project team.
Identify long-lead items and oversee, monitor, and track the procurement process to ensure delivery in accordance with the approved project schedule.
Establish and lead weekly progress, technical, and quality meetings with the Employer and Contractor representatives to resolve outstanding issues and establish clear decisions and action plans.
Manage the project handover process, including preparation of Taking-Over Certificates (TOCs), closeout documentation, and resolution of outstanding site matters.
Maintain compliance with HSE requirements and ensure a strong HSE culture is established and maintained across Contractors and project teams.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with the Employer and collaborate with Parsons’ Business Development team to identify and secure additional opportunities.
Monitor and report project progress to Parsons Program Management, including key milestones, performance, emerging risks, and matters that may impact the project schedule.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Minimum 15+ years of direct experience in the construction and delivery of large-scale, complex projects.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in project leadership roles, with demonstrated responsibility for major multidisciplinary projects.
Demonstrable experience in volumetric manufacturing and advanced manufacturing principles within premium residential assets.
Proven track record of successfully delivering large, complex projects in a Project Director or equivalent senior leadership capacity.
Strong experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and manage multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong leadership and technical problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive and delivery-focused approach.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Ability to clearly articulate project goals, priorities, and objectives to Project Managers, Engineers, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Previous experience delivering major projects within the Gulf region is preferred but not essential.
Strong commercial and contractual awareness within complex construction environments.
Experience managing projects through design, procurement, construction, handover, and closeout.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within complex client and stakeholder environments
