Join our Care and Charities team in Birmingham City Centre as an Account Manager. You’ll work on a fully delegated authority scheme for Domiciliary Care and Supported Living Agencies, underwriting and broking related products. This role offers variety, including processing renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business for both Direct and Wholesale clients. You’ll also collaborate with Primary Care organisations and cross-sell products like Cyber, PA, and D&O insurance.
How you'll make an impact
You’ll build strong relationships with clients, helping them with day-to-day enquiries and ensuring their cover arrangements are in place. You’ll prepare quotes for new business, review mid-term changes, and negotiate terms with insurers. Your role will involve issuing policy documents, managing account queries, and ensuring compliance with Gallagher’s high standards. You’ll also have the chance to coach and support less experienced colleagues, contributing to the growth of the team.
About you
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:
- A good understanding of insurance principles and niche sector requirements.
- The ability to explain complex issues clearly, whether over the phone or in reports.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Empathy and composure under pressure, with a focus on client needs.
- Proficiency in Acturis, MS Office, and e-trade platforms.
- A willingness to achieve Cert CII and work towards ACII qualifications.
