Your Responsibilities Will Be:   

• Manages the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process, ensuring transactions comply with US GAAP, internal policies, and established procedures, and communicates exceptions to management.• Leads the Accounting team while remaining hands-on in the execution, review, and resolution of key accounting activities. The role is primarily responsible for Singapore and other assigned entities.• Supports and assists with ERP implementations.• Supervises and approves the preparation of general ledger entries, ensuring adequate supporting documentation exists and maintains the associated records and files.• Oversees the preparation and review of internal reporting and associated reconciliations using information from the general ledger, other departments, and external sources.• Prepares and reviews statutory financial statements for Singapore and assigned entities in accordance with applicable local GAAP, statutory requirements, and filing timelines, including reconciliation to US GAAP reporting where required.• Assists in overseeing project accounting, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, estimates at completion, contract assets and liabilities, provisions, warranty reserves, liquidated damages, and related accounting judgements and disclosures.• Completes analysis of general-ledger account fluctuations and interprets accounting records, reports, and statements.• Serves as the primary point of contact for key functional areas by answering accounting and financial questions and researching the nature of transactions.• Leads external, statutory, internal, and tax audits for assigned entities, ensuring complete and timely support, resolution of findings, and sustainable remediation of control or process deficiencies.• Establishes and maintains regional accounting governance, policies, procedures, approval authorities, close standards, reconciliation requirements, and control ownership across Singapore and assigned entities.• Actively participates in initiatives and special projects as required by management.• Leads, coaches, and develops accounting teams, establishing clear preparer-reviewer-approver accountability, performance expectations, succession plans, and effective collaboration across functions and geographies.• Supports mergers and acquisitions as assigned, including financial due diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance-sheet validation, integration planning, control implementation, and post-acquisition finance-process integration.• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Required Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.• At least 10 years of relevant experience is required.• At least 3 years of people management experience is required.• Experience working in a U.S.-listed company environment is preferred, including knowledge of US GAAP, balance-sheet reconciliation governance, SOX, and internal control over financial reporting.• Demonstrated ability to advocate for change through analysis and improvement of business processes.• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word, with strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of management.• Hands-on experience implementing finance systems or ERP solutions is required, including data migration, testing, controls validation, and business-user adoption.• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions is a plus.• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment, with urgency, follow-through, efficiency, and accuracy.• Three to four years of audit experience with a Big Four firm is preferred.
