The Marketing Operations Manager works in both execution and consultative capacities. For established marketing needs, this person independently manages the work from request through completion. For new objectives, problems, or opportunities, this person applies their marketing expertise to evaluate the need, recommend an approach, and then execute the solution. In both cases, the Manager owns organization, quality, timelines, follow-through, and proactive communication.
This position is based in our Grandview Heights, Ohio office, and is fully on-site. This is not a remote position.
What does the Marketing Operations Manager do at Northwest?
- Partners with the Director of Marketing and Talent to turn business needs and ideas into effective marketing solutions.
- Owns marketing projects from objective through planning, execution, quality control, launch, and follow-through.
- Serves as a marketing subject-matter expert, identifying opportunities, researching options, recommending solutions, and determining how work should be approached.
- Manages the systems, processes, and workflows that keep marketing organized, accurate, timely, and consistent.
- Develops and executes multi-channel marketing across digital, email, social media, web, content, events, and other client-facing channels.
- Evaluates and improves marketing technology, AI, automation, tools, and processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Preferred qualifications:
- Demonstrate experience independently managing marketing projects, campaigns, or operations.
- Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, content, email, social media, websites, and marketing technology.
- Ability to evaluate a business or marketing need and develop an effective recommendation and execution plan.
- Strong project management skills, including ownership of priorities, deadlines, details, and follow-through.
- Excellent written communication, editing, and quality control skills.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, research, and critical thinking skills.
- Aptitude for learning, evaluating, and optimizing technology, including AI and automation.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, proactively communicate status, and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
