As part of our global team, you’ll help clients navigate complex risks through creative, forward-looking solutions that go beyond the expected. This is a place where innovation is encouraged, ideas are welcomed, and no two days look the same. We’re a community of confidently curious problem-solvers, opportunity seizers, and collaborative thinkers, working together to challenge convention and shape the future of our industry. Here, you’ll be supported to explore your potential, grow your expertise, and make a meaningful impact on a global scale.Overview
As a Client Accounting Manager, you’ll provide clients, company boards and insurance colleagues with timely, complete and accurate accounting information. Based in Guernsey, you’ll combine hands-on accounting work with client service, regulatory responsibilities and the development of colleagues.
You’ll have the opportunity to present financial information at board meetings, contribute to decisions that affect client businesses and help improve the way the client accounting team works. You’ll also support the development of Client Executives by sharing your knowledge and helping them build their technical skills.
How you'll make an impact
You’ll take ownership of accounting services for a portfolio of clients. This will include reviewing management accounts and statutory financial statements, maintaining accounting records, and preparing budgets, forecasts and other financial reports. You’ll make sure the information provided to clients and boards is accurate, relevant and delivered on time.
You’ll play an active part in board meetings by presenting financial information and helping to follow up on minutes and matters arising. You’ll work with intermediaries, external parties, Client Service Directors and Compliance colleagues when needed, making complex financial and regulatory matters easier to understand.
You’ll help clients meet their accounting, tax and regulatory responsibilities. Your work will include:
- Applying relevant standards, including UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS and SORPs.
- Preparing and filing relevant tax returns, including corporate tax, Insurance Premium Tax and Economic Transactions with Islanders returns.
- Monitoring solvency and capital adequacy.
- Preparing the annual insurance return for the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
- Completing required filings with the Guernsey Registry and supporting compliance with company articles.
You’ll also oversee the investment of client funds in line with board instructions, including the management of currency and credit risk exposure. You’ll review payments, act as a B signatory and maintain accurate business plans.
Alongside your client responsibilities, you’ll help colleagues develop their technical knowledge, contribute to improvements in accounting systems and support the continued development of the client accounting function.

- An organised approach to managing changing priorities while maintaining accurate work.
