Analista de Crédito y Cobranza

We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our Finance team. You will be responsible for evaluating customer credit risk, managing a retail customer portfolio, supporting collections activities, and helping drive cash flow and working capital performance. You will play a key role in ensuring effective credit decisions while minimizing risk exposure and supporting business growth. You will partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and external customers to resolve payment issues, manage credit risk, improve collections performance, and maintain strong customer relationships. You will report to the Credit Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the financial health and creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
• Analyze financial information, payment behavior, and credit risk to support sound credit decisions.
• Recommend credit limits, payment terms, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage and monitor a portfolio of retail customers, ensuring effective credit and collection practices.
• Track outstanding balances, aging trends, and portfolio performance to maintain healthy receivables.
• Support the reduction of past-due balances and improve cash conversion and collection effectiveness.
• Partner with customers to resolve payment delays, disputes, and billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Finance, and Customer Service teams to resolve customer account issues and support business objectives.
• Prepare and present portfolio reviews, credit risk analyses, and collection performance reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators including DSO, working capital, cash flow, bad debt exposure, and recovery rates.
• Transform data into actionable recommendations that support financial and commercial decision-making.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve portfolio performance and mitigate credit exposure.
• Act as a trusted business partner by providing guidance on customer credit and risk-related decisions.
• Support business growth by balancing commercial opportunities with sound credit and risk management practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Credit, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit & Risk, or related Finance functions.
• Experience managing customer portfolios, preferably within retail or commercial environments.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and executive reporting.
• Knowledge of DSO, working capital, cash flow, bad debt reserves, risk exposure, and recovery metrics.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
