Job Summary
The Sr Financial Analyst is accountable for performing advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support business planning, performance evaluation, and strategic decision-making. This role independently resolves complex financial issues, delivers actionable insights to leadership, and leads analytical initiatives that enhance organizational performance and financial outcomes.
Essential Functions
Analyze financial results, including profit and loss performance, cash flow, expenditures, investments, and rates of return to identify business risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
Develop forecasts, trend analyses, and financial models to support budgeting, long-range planning, and strategic business decisions
Evaluate variances from budgets, forecasts, and financial targets and recommend actions that improve financial and operational performance
Research economic, industry, and market conditions to assess potential impacts on business results, financial plans, and investment decisions
Prepare and present financial analyses, reports, and recommendations that support informed decision-making by business and executive leadership
Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages and presentations for executive leadership, lenders, investors, and the Board of Directors, including key performance indicators and adjusted financial metrics
Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance financial planning, reporting effectiveness, analytical processes, and business performance
Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or equivalent education and/or experience
5 years in Finance, Accounting, or related areas
Preferred Requirements
Experience supporting or leading implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives involving financial planning, reporting, consolidation, or enterprise business systems
Experience with financial planning, reporting, business intelligence, or data visualization platforms (e.g. OneStream, Workday), or similar technologies
Experience developing reporting solutions, dashboards, and automated processes that improve data accessibility, reporting efficiency, and decision support
Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis principles
Ability to interpret complex financial and operational information and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate multiple variables and determine business impact
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights and well-supported recommendations
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
Ability to independently manage competing priorities and deliver results within established timelines
Demonstrated capability to lead analytical workstreams and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
Proficiency using financial reporting tools, financial systems, and spreadsheet applications to support analysis and decision-making
