Costing Engineer

• Participate in new project RFQ process, support technical review and analysis.
• Define project target cost; issue quotation proposals to support sales in winning project sourcing
• Should-Cost Analysis to verify and analyze sub-supplier cost, identify unreasonable premiums.
• Deep-dive supplier quotes; explore cost reduction potential from process/material aspects; provide technical & data support for procurement negotiations.
• Assess cost-effectiveness of localization alternatives for imported/high-priced components.
• Lead/participate in VAVE projects; cut manufacturing costs via design optimization, material substitution, process improvement (e.g., shorter molding cycle) or mold optimization.
• Support finance controller to track cost fluctuations; conduct variance analysis (actual vs. standard cost); drive corrective actions.
• Participate in benchmarking component teardown & cost analysis; maintain product cost competitiveness.
