This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the Nutrition Division.

The ANHQ FP&A Senior Manager is a key leadership role at AN Finance Headquarters.  This position is a key partner for the LBE/Plan exchange and monthly actuals exchange process providing support to both AN Finance management and Corporate FP&A; ownership of the Nutrition planning system; and performing Sales analytics and reporting for Global Nutrition. 

This position reports to the Assistant Controller of Abbott Nutrition. This position has visibility to total Abbott Nutrition (AN) financials and is responsible for Total AN exchange planning and reporting, The position has 3 direct reports, including 1 FP&A manager.

 

What You’ll Work On

• Lead and manage the RLBE/Plan exchange processes from a headquarters perspective – which includes setting deadlines, providing guidance, completing LBE submission schedules, and ensuring the financial accuracy of submissions and performing division-level analysis.
• Collaborate with Corporate groups and Division Finance to lead the cost change exchange process.
• Prepare executive level RLBE/Plan and Monthly Actuals exchange presentations for Division Controller.
• Ensure accuracy of monthly financials reported to Corporate and coordinate commentary as needed (partnering with CFS).
• Implement system improvements in Financial planning system. 
• Provide user support and troubleshoot system issues.
• Prepare and submit Global Sales reporting to Corporate and Senior Management.
• Perform ad hoc Sales analyses as required.
• Assess/implement process improvements.
• Partner with Leadership, as well as finance and operations colleagues to learn the business and apply this knowledge to daily work.
• Work closely with the Division Controller and Assistant Controller.

 

Skills Required:

• Financial expertise: Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify and concisely communicate the business implications of forecasts and actual results.  Ad hoc analysis and preparation of presentations for senior leadership is a critical component of this role.
• Leadership: This individual will lead directly and indirectly between Nutrition HQ and Corporate FP&A.  Must possess demonstrated leadership skills, including influencing others, and the ability to direct the efforts and development of analysts.
• Communication: This role interfaces with multiple levels within the Nutrition organization; excellent communication skills are essential. Interaction with multiple levels of the organization will require demonstrated maturity, professionalism and tactfulness.
• Deliver Results: Candidate must manage multiple priorities and changing customer demands under tight timelines. Ability to effectively manage workload to ensure deadlines are not missed is critical. The individual must be highly motivated and have a desire to innovate. The ability to work effectively in teams, as well as independently, is essential. 

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.  CPA, CMA or MBA recommended.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of HFM and SAP (Symphony) are preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 – $258,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
