A. Duda and Sons, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of IT Applications to support The Viera Company providing strategic technology leadership across its real estate operations. This highly visible leadership role will lead the strategy, delivery, and continued evolution of business applications, with a primary focus on homebuilding operations systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM).
The Director of IT Applications will partner closely with executive and business leaders across land development, construction, purchasing, sales, finance, and supply chain to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions. This individual will have the opportunity to build and shape the Applications function from the ground up, establishing the strategy, processes, partnerships, and future team needed to support the continued growth of the business.

- Lead the applications strategy and roadmap for the Real Estate Group, with a focus on homebuilding operations systems and D365 F&SCM.
- Drive application and ERP initiatives from discovery and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and optimization.
- Partner with business leaders to develop solutions that improve operations across land, construction, purchasing, sales, finance, and supply chain.
- Build and develop the Applications function, including establishing the structure, processes, and future team needed to support the business.
- Oversee integrations and data flow across homebuilding systems, D365, BI/data, CRM, document management, and supporting platforms.
- Manage software vendors and implementation partners, ensuring accountability for scope, quality, timelines, and budget.
- Champion a configure-before-customize approach to drive standardization and reduce unnecessary system complexity.
- Establish strong application governance around configuration, change management, testing, releases, documentation, and ongoing support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in IT business applications, ERP, or enterprise systems.
- 3+ years of Homebuilding operations software experience, with an understanding of how land, construction, purchasing, and sales processes connect with finance and supply chain.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading major portions of the application implementation lifecycle, including discovery, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Strong experience managing vendors, implementation partners, and complex technology initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead and develop analysts, functional consultants, and application administrators.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on problem solving.
- Experience leading application teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.
