We have brought together a team of 180 consultants and engineers with deep expertise across asset management, intelligent mobility, smart technology, and digital and data solutions within the transport environment.

This newly formed, externally facing business is designed to align closely with our clients’ evolving needs, while creating fresh opportunities for our people to grow, develop, and thrive as part of a collaborative and innovative practice.

In Asset Management, we help our clients to get the most out of their infrastructure assets. We provide the information they need to make key plans and decisions about the future, such as when to invest in their assets and what maintenance activities to prioritise. We help clients understand their data and bring it to life, using a variety of tools and solutions.

Your role

As a Senior Asset Management Consultant, you’ll be working with our clients to deliver a diverse range of projects from formulating national guidance and standards, providing strategic direction, implementing asset management transformation programmes, developing long term investment plans, implementing innovative uses of new technology, and using data and analytical tools to gain deep asset understanding.

The focus of the role will be project delivery, with some support activities including project bidding. In addition, there will be opportunities to manage your own projects as part of your role. This often involves working closely with clients to understand their needs and aspirations, Our projects are varied, dynamic and stimulating, providing plenty of opportunity for new challenges and personal growth.

Your purpose

• Possess a background in project delivery, a sound technical background, excellent communication and organisational skills, and knowledge and understanding of transportation clients.
• Work within and lead diverse teams to deliver a variety of technical asset management projects or programmes.
• Responsible for ensuring quality of your own work and also the work of others.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients to secure new, additional or repeat business.
• Work on the development of tender responses for asset management opportunities.

About you

• Knowledge of asset management practices and of the ISO 55000 series and their practical application.
• Experience in the use of asset management data, information and systems to inform decision making.
• Experience of managing complex stakeholder groups and communicating technical or challenging messages to obtain buy-in to business change.
• A confident, professional manner with a “Can Do” approach.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex matters to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and relevant way.
• A supportive and encouraging approach to identifying and nurturing talent.
• Ability to work collaboratively within AtkinsRéalis, our supply chain and with clients.

Security clearance
