Overview: The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional office and manufacturing environment. Approximately 70% of the role is dedicated to cleaning and facility care, with the remaining 30% focused on facility maintenance and basic building repairs. This position uses a digital work order/CMMS system to manage daily work and preventive maintenance tasks.
Experience Requirements: Prior janitorial or facility maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Shift Available: Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm. This may change based on business needs.
Pay: Up to $18.00/hour to start based on experience

What you'll do:
Cleaning and Facility Care (~70%)
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors.
- Clean glass, doors, partitions, and high-touch surfaces.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Restock paper products, soap, sanitizer, and cleaning supplies.
- Maintain janitorial closets and cleaning equipment.
- Inspect the facility to ensure a clean and professional appearance
Facility Maintenance (~30%)
- Complete basic building repairs including minor drywall repair, painting, furniture assembly, fixture replacement, and general maintenance tasks.
- Respond to work orders.
- Maintain cleaning supplies, tools, and facility maintenance materials in an organized manner.
- Identify facility issues and report larger repair needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Work independently while staying on schedule and prioritizing daily requests.
General (As Needed)
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Traits/Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of hand tools and cleaning equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate and work with co-workers effectively.
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms.
- The employee frequently uses hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds regularly, with or without assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus to inspect materials and products.
- The employee must be able to safely work in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
