Job Description:
An Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer assists on the Analog Design and Analog-Digital interface definition, design, validation, verification and integration of mixed-signal ICs utilizing leading edge technologies with industry standard ASIC tools. Products to be designed/verified are focused in high-speed interfaces ICs (low-jitter buffers, SERDES and CDR circuits) utilizing leading edge deep-submicron (DSM) process nodes 28nm and below (FinFET).
Essential Functions:
- Works on product definition, circuit synthesis from the transistor/resistor level up to the system level, simulation and modeling.
- Design and development of major blocks within the larger product.
- Participates in the entire product development cycle, from product definition through product release.
- Oversees and mentor the development of more junior engineers.
Required skills:
- Experience with high-speed custom circuit design in deep-submicron (DSM) process
- Understand analog and mixed signal circuits including amplifiers, current/voltage references, ADC/DAC’s, etc
- Understand analog and mixed-signal design flows including:
- Creation of validation environment
- Behavior modeling
- Analyze and debug of test results
- Analog-digital interface definition and documentation
Qualifications:
- BSEE w/ 3+ or MS/PhD. w/ 2+ years’ experience in ASIC/mixed signal design.
- Prior experience with one or more of the following circuits PLL/CDR, PI, DFE/CTLE, TX
- Good written/verbal communication skills and strong team work/collaboration.
- Knowledge/Experience with the following is a plus:
- Design with FinFET.
- SystemVerilog/RTL behavior coding.
- Scripting and automation languages like TCL, Python and C/C++.
