We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with great debugging skills to join the service software development team. Ideal candidates will have a passion for technology. You will be part of a fast-moving, experienced team using agile development processes to create world-class software products which will bring value to our customers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Developing and maintaining application integration solutions that simplify business processes. 2. Contributes to the definition, the documentation, and the ongoing improvement of internal workflows and processes.
3. Application support:
Assists in the installation and configuration of new software.
Provides user support for a wide range of applications.
Maintain Software and quickly address software bugs.
4. Design and development:
Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
In addition to the traditional responsibilities mentioned above, the Software Engineer will also cover the following roles:
1. Plays a role in software design, architecture, requirements analysis, investigation of new technologies, and software development of service products.
2. Collaborates with the core development team to ensure a seamless integration of Instron’s service product offerings with Instron’s current software platforms.
3. Develops the new generation of applications that provide customer best in class service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or work experience equivalent
Experience in software development
Understanding of enterprise systems engineering, systems engineering, and business systems architecture
Working knowledge of database design and SQL Server
Familiarity with JavaScript, APIs, computer networking and cloud computing
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication, negotiation, project leadership, and interpersonal skills
Innovative, effective, insightful, independent, takes initiative
Compensation Information:
This position has a starting salary range of $95,000 to $100,000 per year. Pay is determined by several factors, including a candidate’s experience, relevant skills, and qualifications.
