## The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

## This role in summary

They are responsible for driving product value by integrating VAVE with rigorous quality standards to meet cost targets. This role manages the end-to-end project lifecycle—from identifying savings through teardowns and competitive benchmarking to implementing complex design changes.

## Your responsibilities will include

• Lead the cross functional projects and interaction with internal and external Stakeholders.

• Generate and implement product design changes aimed at improving performance, increasing quality and/ or optimizing cost.

• Drive projects using product development process as the need through cross-functional team(s)

• Ensure comprehensive scoping of projects/ ideas, planning to enable execution of agreed plans and achieve cost targets.

• Hands-on experience in VMA/ Costing work.

• Create product/ subsystem specific test plans as per requirement to get the design changes approved.

• Generate ideas using various VA/VE tools like teardowns to continuously built LOS for future projects.

• Analyse SIR and BOM data to calculate the feasibility of ideas/projects

## Minimum requirements

Education: BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 3 to 6 years

Key Deliverables

• Deliver Cost and Quality improvement projects and generate the cash flow based on the requirements from platforms

• Application of Technical tools:

• Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE), VAVE/ AVS Certified (Optional)

• Six Sigma tools and its applications (Trained/ Certified Yellow/ Green/ Black Belt (Optional))

• 8D, A3, DFMEA, DVP&R

• Basic Knowledge on CAD tools (Creo 2.0 or 4.0), PLM Software- Windchill

• Design for Variation (GD&T and Tolerance stack up analysis)

• Project management tools (PMP trained /certified (Optional)

## Preferred skills and experiences

• Project Management – Ability to lead/close multiple projects at the same time

• Conceptual & Analytical Skills

• Strong consumer orientation

• Very Strong communication and presentation skills

• Exposure/experience of working in a global engineering team environment

• Team player, flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business task/project priorities.

• Good business communication (written/verbal) and Presentation skills.
