Job Description

As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support access awareness and daily operations while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture that puts people first, and a commitment to teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and reporting discrepancies, suspicious behavior, and policy violations according to post instructions.
• Complete required logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation, and/or relay important site information during shift changes and routine operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
