Job Description:

FleishmanHillard, a global communications agency, is seeking a dynamic Vice President to join our Corporate Reputation practice in Texas. In this role you will drive strategic program execution and provide counsel for corporate clients navigating complex reputation, stakeholder, and communications challenges. This leader will manage integrated corporate communications programs, coordinate cross-functional teams, serve as a trusted advisor to day-to-day clients and executives, and deliver measurable reputation and business outcomes. Working closely with senior account leadership and practice heads, the VP will own program strategy and delivery, stakeholder communication, thought leadership development, and execution excellence across a variety of accounts.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications strategist and program executor with corporate communications experience and exceptional strategic counsel skills. Deep expertise in the manufacturing and/or healthcare sectors and strong crisis and issues management capabilities are a plus. This leader will have the ability to thrive in a high-stakes, complex environment while building and mentoring high performing teams.

FleishmanHillard values the importance of impact and inclusion to strengthen the bonds between us, grow our people and create spaces for everyone to thrive. We stay true to our commitment to our people and the communities in which we live and work. As part of our ongoing effort to be the world’s most inclusive agency, we are committed to seeking candidates who possess and demonstrate a profound interest in furthering our impact and inclusion goals.

Responsibilities
Serve as senior strategic advisor to day-to-day clients and executives on complex reputation challenges, stakeholder engagement strategies, and integrated communications planning.

Build and position corporate leaders as industry thought leaders and trusted voices through earned media, speaking opportunities, bylined content, and industry forum participation.

Manage integrated communications programs that span earned media relations, issues management, crisis communication, executive positioning, content strategy, stakeholder engagement, and digital channels—working efficiently under tight timelines and shifting priorities.

Build and maintain relationships with top-tier business, trade, policy, and industry reporters and editors critical to client reputation and brand positioning.

Coordinate rapid-response protocols and crisis communication efforts, serving as key communicator during sensitive issues or operational challenges.

Lead storytelling and message development that reflects sophisticated understanding of corporate client business models, industry dynamics, stakeholder concerns, and competitive landscape.

Coordinate with internal teams across multiple workstreams; ensure clarity on deliverables, deadlines, accountability, and strategic alignment.

Support team members with clear direction, remove blockers, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Model excellence in client service, strategic thinking, and professional execution.

Qualifications
8-10+ years of corporate communications and corporate reputation experience in an agency environment, with at least three years managing client relationships and strategic communications programs.

Expertise in the retail, manufacturing and/or healthcare sectors is a plus.

Crisis and issues management experience— demonstrated ability to develop protocols, lead rapid response, manage executives during sensitive situations, and protect corporate reputation during challenging circumstances.

Strong media relations expertise—proven ability to build and maintain relationships with top-tier business, trade, and policy reporters; develop compelling story angles; and secure quality earned media placements in premium outlets.

Executive positioning and thought leadership background— experience positioning corporate leaders as industry experts, developing speaking opportunities, managing bylined content, and building executive brand and visibility.

Demonstrated strategic counsel capabilities—ability to provide senior-level advice on complex reputation challenges, develop comprehensive communications strategies, and counsel executives on stakeholder engagement and business-critical communications decisions.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills— ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously, coordinate across teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver under tight timelines without compromising quality.

Proven ability to build and mentor teams, develop junior- and mid-level talent, and support the career growth and professional development of others.
