Job Title:   Transporter

Employment Type: Part Time, 20 hours per week

Shift:  Rotating shifts Holidays and Weekends
Location: St. Mary Medical Center

 

As a Transporter you will:

• Observe for and report safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
• Transport patients on stretchers, beds and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.
• Promptly report any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
• Cooperatively assist in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
• Clean wheelchairs and ensure each area has an adequate number.
• Keep incident log of transports.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• CPR Certification - issued by AHA
• Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed in onboarding if offered the position)
