Machining Supervisor
Location: St. Louis, MO
Salary: $50-$55/hour + overtime + performance incentives
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor to lead their Machining and Striding operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who can drive safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and employee development.
This opportunity is for a long-standing manufacturing company that specializes in high-complexity machined parts and assemblies, with capabilities including CNC machining, engineering, assembly, welding, painting, chemical processing, and NADCAP-certified inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily Machining and Striding operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals
- Supervise, hire, train, mentor, and develop machining employees
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 6S, continuous improvement, and cross-training initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment, tooling, processes, and production flow
- Manage departmental staffing, resources, budgets, and performance
- Monitor key production, cost, and productivity metrics, and communicate results to management
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to develop and maintain SOPs and production procedures
- Lead cross-functional improvement efforts and promote accountability throughout the team
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and customer requirements
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience leading machining teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience with CNC machining, Lean/Continuous Improvement, and 6S
- Ability to develop employees and build a flexible, high-performing team
- Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented leadership style
Compensation
- $50–$55/hour + OT + performance incentives
- 96 hours of PTO in your first year, accrued from day one, plus 9 paid holidays and anniversary paid day off
