Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for an Employee Health & Well-Being Puerto Rico Site Lead.

The Employee Health & Well-Being (EHW) Site Lead supports the manufacturing sites in Puerto Rico. J&J is continuously reviewing its talent strategy. The role and responsibilities of this position are subject to change as part of a broader organizational talent development strategy.

Our Employee Health and Well-Being organization is dedicated to the total Services of health for our employees. Following our EHW Global Strategy and supported by our policies, programs, and resources, The EHW Site Lead will manage a cross-function health and well-being team at a single site or multiple near proximity sites and is responsible for the provision of Occupational Health Programs, Wellness & Health Promotion and Employee Assistance Program promotion to a single business segment at a single location. May supervise part time or contracted Occupational Health Nurses, administrative staff or occupational health technicians working in clinical settings at their location(s). Is accountable for the overall success of health programs delivered by vendors in the areas of wellness, fitness and employee assistance.  Assumes site level stewardship and is accountable for the deployment and performance of EHW strategies, policies and standards for occupational health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for successful implementation of all EHW services (EAP, Wellness & Occupational Health) by applying centrally developed strategies, resources and tools locally.
• Provides clinical healthcare services including Nursing care for Injuries & illnesses, Case Management of Occupational Injuries and Illness, Medical Surveillance examination and general health education and coaching.
• Is responsible for compliance associated with occupational health at the locations they support including compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and recordkeeping and J&J global health standards.
• Accountable for leading their team in the local deployment of the health and wellbeing strategy for their location(s) and leads a team of part time or contracted healthcare, wellness and mental health professionals who will execute on that strategy.
• Drives increased health outcomes including reducing population health risks and supporting improved business outcomes through advancing employee health and wellbeing.
• Is accountable for delivery of agreed-to regional Health metrics and outcomes.
• Creates value by driving greater efficiency and standardization in the deployment of EHW resources, processes, procedures and programs using a regional construct.
• Continuously monitors all aspects of site EHW performance, providing directions to their staff and vendors providing wellness services at their locations.
• Provides EHW technical assistance and support as needed across all campus locations.
• Periodically engages business leaders to review EHW performance and compliance.
• Responsible for development and meeting site budget expectations in collaboration with EHW Campus Leader.
• Fosters an atmosphere of openness and sharing of information to encourage a culture of high awareness, transparency and diligence with respect to EHW matters. Provide nursing services at specific sites with emphasis on injury and illness management, medical surveillance, employee accident case management and disability management.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nurse.
• Current and non-restricted license of Puerto Rico.
• Occupational Health Nursing Certification / Puerto Rico Nursing College Collegiate.
• Supervision Skills.
• AED and CPR certifications.
• Hearing conservation and respiratory protection certifications.  
• Occupational Health and Clinical Practice experience or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Position requires inclusion into Bloodborne Pathogens program.

Other:

• Active participant of site Emergency Response Team.
• Availability on overtime and rotating shifts is required with previous notification by the Campus Leader or business needed.
• Willing to travel to affiliates within Puerto Rico with previous notification by the Campus Leader.
