As an apprentice, you'll join a small team in a busy manufacturing environment, helping to manufacture, inspect and package the products. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting the production process, carrying out visual and physical checks, trimming components where needed and packaging finished products to the required standards. You'll also learn how to keep production running smoothly, maintain a safe and organised workspace and work closely with your team.

  • 12 hour shifts, nights or days (sometimes required to swap)
  • Company pension scheme

Key Responsibilities

This is a physically active, hands-on role where you'll get involved in a variety of production tasks, including:

  • Inspect finished components through visual and physical checks to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Carry out flash trimming to remove excess material from products where required

  • Monitor and record scrap materials and report any production or quality issues to supervisors
  • Maintain clean, tidy and organised work areas to support efficient production
  • Follow company procedures, health and safety requirements and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting, moving and packing products and boxes
  • Work independently and as part of a small team, supporting colleagues and other areas of the business when needed

About You

You thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments and prefer staying active rather than working at a desk. You enjoy practical work, are comfortable working around machinery and take pride in seeing the results of your hard work. You're confident, proactive and willing to get stuck in, whether that's supporting production, handling materials or helping your team keep things running smoothly.

You follow instructions carefully and understand the importance of safety, quality and consistency. You have a good eye for detail, a strong work ethic and take pride in doing things properly. You're reliable, punctual and comfortable working shifts, including days or nights when required. You can stay focused during repetitive tasks and are happy with the physical nature of the role, including manual handling and spending long periods standing or sitting.

You learn best by watching and doing, building confidence through practical, hands-on experience. You're hardworking, motivated and passionate about doing a good job, with a positive attitude towards learning new skills. You're comfortable working independently but also enjoy being part of a small team, supporting colleagues and taking initiative when needed. Most importantly, you're keen to develop your technical skills and build a long-term career in manufacturing.

Please note: You must be 18+ due to the nature of the working environment.

To apply for this apprenticeship, you must:

✔️ Be 18 or over
✔️ Not be in full-time education
✔️ Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
✔️ Have the right to work in the UK
