Description
The Corporate Accounting Accountant performs day-to-day accounting activities for Lincoln's corporate entities. This role prepares journal entries, reconciles accounts, supports the monthly close process, and contributes to the accurate and timely preparation of corporate financial statements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrual schedules for corporate cost centers and balance sheet accounts.
- Perform month-end close activities including prepaids, fixed asset entries, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Process and code AP invoices for corporate entities, coordinate approvals, and assist with payment runs.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for monthly financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of variance analysis and corporate financial reporting packages.
- Coordinate with HR, payroll, and other departments to obtain documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Support audit preparation and year-end close activities.
- Assist with tax compliance schedules as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2-4 years of accounting experience; corporate accounting or public accounting experience preferred; commercial real estate experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and basic corporate accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting ERP systems; strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
