Description
Are you a plaintiff or defense attorney who enjoys personal injury litigation but isn't sure your current firm is giving you the opportunity to grow?
A growing law firm is looking to add an attorney with 1–3 years of experience to its personal injury practice. They are open to attorneys from either side of the table and are more interested in finding someone with a solid litigation foundation who wants to take the next step in their career.
This isn't a role where you'll simply be buried in research and discovery with little exposure to the actual case. You'll have the opportunity to become more involved in your files, work directly with clients and opposing counsel, and continue developing your skills as a litigator.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Manage personal injury matters and take ownership of your assigned cases
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other substantive legal documents
- Take part in depositions, mediations, hearings, and other aspects of litigation
- Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Evaluate liability, damages, and the overall value of cases
- Work with more experienced attorneys on strategy and complex issues
- Take on progressively more responsibility as your experience grows
Who This Could Be a Good Fit For
We're open to attorneys coming from either plaintiff or defense personal injury practices. You don't need to have every box checked.
You should have:
- 1–3 years of practicing experience
- A background in personal injury or related civil litigation
- Strong writing and communication skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and stay organized
- A genuine interest in becoming a better litigator—not simply hitting a billable target
- Active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction
Compensation & Workload
$115,000–$150,000 base salary, depending on experience and background.
The annual expectation is 1,800 billable hours, giving you a clear target while still allowing you to build meaningful litigation experience.
If you're currently on the plaintiff side and have considered what defense work could look like or you're on the defense side and are interested in getting closer to the plaintiff side. The firm is open to either background.
If you are interested in hearing more, please apply.
