🐎 Identifier / Paddock Judge – Harness Racing

This unique role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our racing program while supporting smooth, professional race-day operations.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure compliance with all Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission rules and regulations

• Serve as Paddock Judge as needed, overseeing horse preparation and equipment checks prior to races
• Observe horses in the paddock to confirm proper readiness and adherence to standards
• Record and verify racing equipment used on each horse
• Ensure a licensed trainer or groom is present for every horse in the paddock
• Act as the primary Identifier, verifying horses through tattoos and Coggins test documentation
• Confirm that the correct horse is entered and competing in each race
• Complete routine reports and correspondence accurately and on time
• Support race-day operations and assist with related duties as assigned
• Promote a professional, fair, and guest-focused racing environment

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in the Harness Racing industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission rules and procedures
• Ability to read a Condition Sheet and interpret race entries accurately
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and integrity
• Ability to write clear, routine reports and documentation
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stay alert and focused in a fast-moving, high-responsibility environment
