This position reports to:
R&D Local Unit Lead__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the business line Metals and Power Conversion in China.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Listen to the voice of customers and develop solutions as per their needs
- Using latest technology to bring intelligent features to solve specific problems in Metals process
- Agile development to shorten the time to market solutions innovation
- Actively coordinate and collaborate with sales / engineering for smart manufacturing solutions successfully deployment
- Collaborate internally and externally with transparency, trust and courage
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree or above, with a preference for majors in data science, computer science, automation
- More than 5 years of industry software development experience with a preference for digital solution experience in the steel and non-ferrous metal industry
- Able to accept frequent business trips
- Proficient in English communication skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Good problem-solving and stress resistance skills

The Process Industries Division serves the mining, minerals processing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, battery manufacturing, and food and beverage, as well as their associated service industries. The Division brings deep industry domain expertise coupled with the ability to integrate both automation and electrical systems, increase productivity and reduce overall capital and operating costs for customers. For mining, metals and cement customers, solutions include specialized products and services, as well as total production systems.
