What skills and experience do I need to succeed?
Essential requirements:
- Strong .NET / C# development experience — the core of the role
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
- A solid understanding of software design patterns and scalable architecture
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g. LLMs and coding assistants) to accelerate delivery and improve quality — and the ability to talk about how you’ve applied AI in practice
- Working knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React)
- Familiarity with modern DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across teams
- A self-starter and quick learner, comfortable working through new problems
- Around 2+ years’ professional software engineering experience, with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Exposure to cloud platforms, ideally Azure
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and broader DevOps knowledge
- Python for automation or AI workflows
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering or agent-based systems
- Experience with containerisation
- Experience building or optimising developer-productivity tooling
What do we offer?
Travel: This is a Pittsburgh-based hybrid role. Day-to-day travel is minimal — the main expectation is coming into our Pittsburgh office at least once a month (sometimes more, depending on the project) to collaborate and connect with the team in person.
