Gastroenterologist | Full-Time
Location: South Carolina
A well-established, nonprofit healthcare organization is actively seeking a 2027 Gastroenterologist to join its growing digestive health team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduating Gastroenterology fellow looking to begin their career in a supportive, physician-focused environment with a strong referral network, advanced clinical resources, and opportunities to build a successful GI practice.
The position offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, along with opportunities to perform advanced and general GI procedures in a collaborative healthcare setting.
2027 Gastroenterology Fellows are encouraged to apply.
Position Overview
• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal disorders
• Develop a balanced practice with both inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy
• Manage a broad range of GI conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, and biliary system
• Establish strong relationships with patients, referring physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Collaborate with hospitalists, primary care providers, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists
• Utilize an integrated EMR system for efficient clinical documentation
• Participate in shared call coverage within a supportive GI team structure
Qualifications
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship by 2027
• Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure
• Active or eligible DEA registration
• Strong clinical, procedural, communication, and teamwork skills
• Interest in building a long-term career within a growing healthcare system
