Overview
Our client is a global asset management company and they are seeking a motivated Infrastructure Manager to oversee and maintain the IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. In this role, you will leverage your in-depth expertise in infrastructure management, technical support, and project management to ensure seamless operation, security, and scalability of critical technology systems. You will also play a crucial role in aligning IT systems with the strategic goals of family office while fostering an environment of collaboration and inclusivity.
This role is vital to a long-term success as it involves managing sensitive systems, vendor relationships, and cross-functional coordination to support the unique operational needs of their family office.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage all IT infrastructure, including on-premise systems and Microsoft Azure Cloud, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance with a keen understanding of the unique needs of a family office environment.
- Technical Support: Provide expert L2 and L3 technical support for infrastructure issues, including Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, M365, VMware, firewalls, and network hardware (e.g., switches). Ensure swift resolution of any critical issues that may impact operations or client services.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects, including office upgrades, remote setup, or reconfigurations, to meet the family office's evolving needs. Develop clear project scopes, budgets, timelines, and detailed execution plans.
- Network and Security: Maintain and enhance IT security by configuring and monitoring firewalls, maintaining robust security protocols, and optimizing network performance. Ensure all systems comply with best practices for safeguarding sensitive family office information.
- Vendor and Service Provider Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with external vendors, ensuring optimal service delivery while adhering to agreed SLAs and managing cost efficiency.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT members or external staff supporting the family office, fostering professional development and team collaboration. Actively promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Strategic IT Planning: Collaborate with family office executives and stakeholders to align IT strategies with the organization's long-term goals, optimizing technology to support administration, investment tracking, and other key functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience managing IT infrastructure, specifically within organizations with sensitive data needs (family office, wealth management, financial services, etc.).
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in On-Premise and Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure.
- Advanced skills in managing Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, M365, and VMware.
- Experience with network infrastructure management, including configuring and maintaining firewalls and network hardware (switches, routers, access points).
- Practical experience leading various IT projects such as migrations, office setups, and vendor transitions with a proven track record in meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- Adept at identifying, evaluating, and managing vendor partnerships, including negotiating agreements and ensuring high service quality.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide junior IT staff, as well as work effectively with stakeholders, promoting inclusivity and collaboration in decision-making processes.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or ITIL.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
