Lead global category strategy for a significant portion of enterprise spend, driving value, innovation, and risk mitigation across the portfolio.
Define and execute category strategies that align with business priorities, ensuring strong performance across quality, service, cost, and supply continuity.
Partner cross‑functionally with Divisional Procurement, Supplier Quality, Operations, Materials Management, Engineering, Senior Leadership, Legal, and Compliance to deliver integrated sourcing solutions.
Drive value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
Lead cross‑functional initiatives to develop and implement Global Category Plans, including cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk management, and contract strategies.
Develop and execute commodity strategies in support of divisional and enterprise business objectives.
Build and maintain strong commercial and contractual relationships with senior leadership at key suppliers.
Lead sourcing analytics and decision‑making, including total cost modeling and make‑versus‑buy analyses.
Align strategic external investments with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Research and Development and Business Development teams, to support innovation and capability growth.
Manage procurement budgets, conduct financial analysis, and use forecasting to optimize spend and ensure alignment with financial objectives
What you need:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement.
Proven experience leading enterprise‑level category strategies in a global or matrixed environment.
Experience in Medical Devices or highly regulated industries.
Strong knowledge of capital equipment and manufacturing‑related categories (CAPEX).
Preferred
Experience working with complex global supply bases and senior executive stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive results in cross‑functional environments.
