Operations Director

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Director to lead a growing Complex Community Care division within an established healthcare organisation.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the performance, quality, growth, and consistency of community-based services across multiple regions. Working closely with Regional Operations Managers, Clinical Leads, Registered Managers, and branch teams, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the division while ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality care.

This opportunity would suit a strategic and commercially minded operational leader who can balance growth, quality, and performance while developing high-performing teams and supporting long-term organisational success.

• Lead the Community Care division with clear strategic direction and accountability
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Regional Operations Managers, Clinical Leads, and branch leadership teams
• Drive operational performance across multiple regions, ensuring branches achieve quality, compliance, financial, and growth targets
• Identify areas of underperformance and implement effective improvement plans
• Strengthen consistency in branch operations, reporting, governance, and decision-making
• Support the continued development and growth of the Community Care offering
• Work closely with commercial, marketing, and operational teams to support sustainable growth
• Ensure services consistently meet and exceed CQC and regulatory requirements
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and accountability
• Oversee divisional budgets, profitability, forecasting, and financial performance
• Support succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

• Significant senior operational leadership experience within Health & Social Care
• Strong background in Community Care, Homecare, or Domiciliary Care services
• Experience managing multi-site operations and senior leadership teams
• Excellent understanding of CQC regulations, governance, safeguarding, and quality frameworks
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and P&L performance
• Demonstrable success in driving operational improvement, service growth, and cultural change
• Strategic thinker with the ability to maintain strong operational oversight
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience operating at Senior Leadership or Executive level
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
• Willingness to travel nationally as required

• Salary up to £90,000 DOE
