Description
Description
The Worcester Art Museum is seeking a part-time Human Resources Administrative Assistant to support the everyday work of our HR department and help ensure that important employee and organizational processes run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, following processes through to completion, and providing thoughtful support to colleagues.
In this role you will serve as a key partner to the HR team, helping to coordinate the administrative work that keeps the department responsive, compliant, and organized. On any given day, you might track onboarding paperwork, follow up on document approvals, update employee records, prepare materials for meetings, respond to routine employee questions, or help maintain HR systems and resources. Through this work, you will help ensure that employees receive timely support and that critical HR workflows continue moving forward.
Much of your work will follow established processes, schedules, and clear assignments from HR leadership. At the same time, you may be managing several workflows at different stages, needing to recognize when something requires follow-up, and knowing when to refer a question to another member of the HR team. Accuracy, confidentiality, sound judgment, flexibility, and a service-minded approach are essential.
You will be joining a collaborative and supportive HR team that values open communication, transparency, accountability, and an employee-focused approach. Weekly team meetings and regular supervisor check-ins will provide connection, context, and guidance while allowing you to work independently on familiar processes. Whether you are beginning your career and looking to build professional experience or bringing years of administrative expertise and seeking meaningful part-time work in a mission-driven organization, this role offers an opportunity for someone who enjoys organized, purposeful work, values being part of a collaborative team, and takes satisfaction in helping important processes run smoothly.
