Job Overview

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating new business, managing existing client relationships, identifying sales opportunities and supporting the conversion of prospects into long-term customers. BDE

Key Responsibilities

• Generate leads through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking and referrals.
• Identify and engage potential B2B clients.
• Conduct client meetings, product presentations and demonstrations.
• Understand client needs and recommend suitable solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and sales presentations.
• Follow up on opportunities, handle objections and support deal closures.
• Manage existing client accounts, renewals and enquiries.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve client issues.
• Maintain sales pipelines and provide regular activity reports. 

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in business development, B2B sales, account management or a similar role.
• Experience in logistics, transport, supply chain, fleet management, SaaS or technology sales is preferred.
• Strong lead generation, sales, negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with CRM tools, Trello or Zoho Sprints is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and organised.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
• Willing to work on-site in Kelaniya.
