Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Middletown, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Your visible presence, clear communication, and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting security-related operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured entry points, and/or unusual conditions.
• Document incidents, access-control activities, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
