Financial Accounting Manager – Media - Manchester – Hybrid (2 Days/Week) – £70,000 – 18-Month FTC - JRSO36500   We’re hiring for a Financial Accounting Manager to join our media client in their Manchester based office on a 18 month fixed term contract. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join this household name managing a team of 6 people in the RTR Reconciliations team, overseeing systems fine-tuning  along with core balance sheet processes.   Key Responsibilities

• System Optimization: Lead operational fine-tuning, testing, and continuous process automation using balance sheet reconciliation software (Oracle ARCS).
• Balance Sheet Governance: Oversee accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolve variances, and ensure robust financial controls across complex legal entity structures.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Financial Controllers, Business Partners, and external auditors to streamline month-end processes and handle audit requirements.
• Leading audit support by partnering with external auditors to supply necessary documentation, context, and reconciliations.
• Line managing a team of 6, conducting regular 1-2-1s, setting performance goals, and supporting career progression aligned with Finance Operations strategy.
• Proactively expanding expertise in Oracle ARCS capabilities and core financial workflows to implement workflow improvements.

  Key Requirements

• Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or Finalist (QBE considered with relevant complex business background).
• Leadership: Proven experience managing direct reports.
• Software Knowledge: Experience with automated reconciliation tools (Oracle ARCS, BlackLine, or similar).
• Technical Experience: Strong RTR background with hands-on experience in high-volume balance sheet reconciliations within a large, multi-entity environment or Shared Service Centre.
