As a global leader in connecting and simplifying trade, we help businesses move goods seamlessly across ocean, air, landside transportation, and warehousing, all supported by cutting edge technology and an extensive global network.

We’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, heard, and able to be themselves. Our team members come from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we value the unique strengths each person contributes. With over 100,000 employees across 130 countries, we work together to shape the future of global trade and logistics.

About the Role

As the Regional Head of Procurement, Labor, Security & Facilities, you will lead procurement strategy across critical operating expenditure categories that enable Maersk’s Contract Logistics operations throughout North America. Working closely with Operations, Finance, People, Legal, Global Category Managers, and business stakeholders, you will drive cost leadership, strengthen supplier governance, optimize workforce solutions, and improve visibility and control across regional spend. You will also lead a high-performing procurement team, champion digitization initiatives, and help shape scalable service solutions that support Maersk's expanding warehousing network.

What We Offer

This is an exciting career opportunity to work in a truly international company that makes global trade happen. You will be interacting daily with passionate colleagues around the world, giving you the opportunity to develop your professional skills in a global environment. Through the training and support we provide and learning on the job, you will have the chance to truly take your career all the way.

  • Embed a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) mindset across service categories, balancing cost, service quality, and flexibility.

Contingent Labor Strategy, Sourcing & Compliance

  • Define and execute the strategy for sourcing and managing third-party labor, including temporary workforce, agency labor, and outsourced service models.

  • Evaluate and optimize sourcing channels, including Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Vendor Management Systems (VMS), direct sourcing models, and strategic staffing partners.

  • Standardize rate cards, markups, and commercial structures across suppliers and geographies to improve consistency and cost control.

  • Lead the selection, contracting, and governance of labor suppliers, ensuring clear service level agreements, productivity targets, and performance expectations.

  • Establish compliance frameworks covering labor laws and local statutory requirements across operating jurisdictions.

  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with contingent workforce management.

  • Drive adoption and optimization of workforce management platforms, including VMS, timekeeping systems, and analytics tools.

  • Strengthen governance, internal controls, and compliance with applicable policies and frameworks.

  • Own and manage the SG&A budget for the team.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing and engaged procurement team.
