Preschool Teacher
Pay: $23.751 per hour
Part-time, Year-Round, Not Benefit Eligible

We’re seeking friendly, enthusiastic candidates to work with a fabulous team in our Preschool Program!
The Teacher will develop lesson plans for participants with the goal of developing their social skills and executive functions through play, art projects, stories, songs, and outside play.
This position is Monday through Friday mornings from 8:30am – 12:30pm during class weeks. Limited additional hours will also be assigned for prep, staff meetings, and trainings. Classes begin in September and continue through May. Ideal candidates would be able to start August 24 for training and meetings, with classroom set up and planning August 31 - September 4. Open house is September 9 - 11.

- Develop, plan, implement quality play-based program curriculum for preschool aged children
- Focus on creative indoor and outdoor play-based learning activities
- Provide a safe, wholesome, caring and comfortable environment for child participants
- Communicate with parents/caregivers and supervisors
- Adapt and independently problem-solve unanticipated situations
- Track and report program related records
- Write weekly emails, first day letters, theme calendars and participant evaluations
- Provide work direction to other preschool team members
- Request supplies and materials as needed
- Administer basic first aid as needed – training provided!
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or nearly completed degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in teaching or assisting a teacher or equivalent work in a similar position
- Previous teaching experience in a preschool setting
- Experience in recreation preschool programs
- CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Valid driver’s license
