Description
Do you want to be at the centre of ING’s Finance leadership agenda and help turn strategic priorities into tangible progress? As Business Manager to the CFO, you will work directly with an ING Management Board Banking/Executive Board member and act as a trusted partner across a broad and dynamic portfolio. You will help shape the agenda, connect the right people, prepare key decision-making moments and keep execution moving at pace.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an ING colleague who combines Finance understanding, an established ING network, sharp judgement and the drive to make things happen in a complex senior stakeholder environment.
You will report to the CFO and work closely with senior leaders across Finance and the wider ING organisation. The environment is fast-paced, international and highly visible, with topics ranging from strategic Finance priorities to governance, performance, stakeholder engagement and organisational initiatives. You will be expected to connect across teams, bring structure where needed and help create clarity, alignment and momentum.
Roles and responsibilities
Support the CFO in translating strategic priorities into clear execution, follow-up and tangible outcomes.
Drive and coordinate key initiatives, leadership team actions and strategic deliverables across Finance.
Prepare executive-level briefings, presentations, decision documents and communications.
Monitor progress against commitments and proactively manage actions, dependencies, risks and timelines.
Act as a connector across teams and functions, ensuring alignment and effective stakeholder management.
Bring fact-based perspectives to the table and challenge assumptions constructively.
Support leadership meetings, governance forums and organisational initiatives with structure, clarity and discipline.

Independence: Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy, structure ambiguity and move topics forward without close supervision.
Accountability: Takes ownership end-to-end, follows through on commitments and proactively drives progress rather than waiting for others to deliver.
Commitment and resilience: Brings energy, discipline and a strong results orientation, also when priorities shift or timelines are tight.
Responsiveness and flexibility: Highly responsive, adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic senior leadership environment.
Languages: Fluent in English.
