Revenue Auditor

Description

Summary of Duties:

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.

Position Purpose:

To audit documentation pertaining to revenue and analyze financial records according to internal controls and standard practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Verify the accuracy of calculations pertaining to business transactions recorded by other employees. 
• Correct errors or list discrepancies for adjustment. 
• Notify the appropriate management personnel and prepare a written explanation of the discrepancies. 
• Examine and analyze accounting records and prepare reports for comparison with employee entries. 
• Follow all established procedures when recording transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures. 
• Analyze data for evidence of deficiencies in control procedures. 
• Communicate all concerns and discrepancies to the Accounting Manager. 
• Audit accounts, records of proof, and certifications to ensure compliance with standard procedures and practices. 
• Conduct independent, protective, and constructive audits for management to review.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old. 
• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Some college education is preferred.
• At least 2 years previous accounting experience or combination of experience and equivalent education required.

Licensing:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.

Work Requirements:

Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
