Job Description
Logistics Planner – Rockwell Automation Japan (RAJ)
Role Summary
As a Logistics Planner, you will be a key member of the logistics team, responsible for managing daily logistics operations in coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders. This role supports efficient inventory control, import/export operations, and trade compliance while ensuring high service levels and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control activities, including stock adjustments and monitoring inventory accuracy
- Handle goods receiving, shipments, and return processes
- Coordinate with 3PL warehouse operators to manage performance and control logistics costs
- Manage import and export operations in compliance with trade and customs regulations
- Maintain close communication with customs brokers to ensure accurate documentation and smooth clearance
- Coordinate with international freight forwarders to arrange transportation and deliveries
- Drive productivity improvement initiatives and support continuous process optimization
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions to support business requirements
- Ensure customer needs and delivery commitments are met in a timely and accurate manner
