KEY AREAS

Job Summary/Purpose:

NEXTracker is the leading provider of intelligent solar tracking systems, offering advanced solutions that optimize the performance and reliability of utility-scale solar power plants around the world. Our talented worldwide team is transforming PV plant performance every day with smart technology, data monitoring and analysis services.

As Business is fast extending, P&E team is looking for a product engineer to support Sales team for PV module compatibility review focusing on certain regions. The role is located in Shanghai, China.

Desired Characteristics & Qualifications:

Self-motivated, independent, technical aptitude and excellent interpersonal skills

A Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar discipline

2~3 years of technical support experience with PV modules

Knowledge of module testing and IEC compliance

Willingness to travel (<30% of time) within China and globally.

Proficiency in English language at a professional level.

SECTION THREE

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Manage Form-Fit Function tests accordingly (including data collection and report generating)

Manage loading tests of various PV module / tracker product combinations as required (including data collection and report generating)

Travel to PV module manufacturers and 3rd party testing facilities as required

Module related document (Test guide/3rd party report) and test tracking sheet (loading test / FFF test / project specific related test) recording

Communicate with Sale/Project/PJE for moving projects forward according to the client’s request
