About the Role
As a Senior Engineer – Nextool & Towa Mold Equipment Improvement, you will be responsible for driving equipment performance, reliability, and productivity improvements for Nextool and Towa molding equipment within semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will lead improvement initiatives, optimize equipment capability, and work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
Lead equipment improvement and optimization projects for Nextool and Towa molding equipment.
Analyze equipment performance trends and identify opportunities to improve OEE, throughput, and reliability.
Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment-related issues.
Develop and implement equipment upgrades, modifications, and automation solutions.
Conduct engineering studies, DOE, and capability evaluations to improve machine performance.
Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and suppliers on technical improvements and problem resolution.
Support equipment qualification, validation, and implementation of process changes.
Drive cost reduction, downtime reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
What You Will Need
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering or manufacturing engineering.
Experience with molding processes and semiconductor assembly equipment.
Must Have
Experience in equipment improvement, optimization, and reliability enhancement.
Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC, DOE, and problem-solving methodologies.
Experience leading engineering improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret equipment performance data.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers.
Good to Have
Experience with Nextool and/or Towa molding equipment.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Knowledge of automation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing solutions.
Experience with equipment upgrades, machine modifications, or CAPEX projects.
Familiarity with MES and manufacturing data analytics tools.
