The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $79,400 - $104,300. The offered salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional to join our Toyota Brand Marketing team. This is a 12-month opportunity and will be reporting to the Manager of Toyota Brand.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering consumer insights through brand health and advertising tracking research. They will also focus on Toyota brand experiences by contributing to the development and execution of advertising campaigns and experiential marketing events.

What You’ll be Doing:
Consumer Insights and Strategy
- Manage the Toyota and Lexus brand health and ad tracking programs with our lead Research vendor to convert consumer understanding into business/marketing decisions
- Manage and regularly review Toyota and Lexus audience segmentation to assess target audience alignment with Marketing strategies
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify emerging consumer and cultural trends (including growth audience opportunities)
Brand Experiences & Engagement
- Lead development of select consumer-facing campaigns and experiential events that support key brand priorities
- Work with agencies to ensure insights are reflected in creative development, evaluate concepts and creative work and measure campaign effectiveness
- Manage owner engagement strategies and leads generated through events
- Collaborate with Brand and Digital teams to develop content from partnership and experiential events for our social channels and multi-message e-mail efforts
- Support Brand Strategy Lead on various Masterbrand campaigns, including briefing agencies, coordinating stakeholder understanding and planning campaign assets
Strategic Planning Support
- Support Annual Planning priorities, including keeping Research vendor accountable to advise on marketing objective KPIs and presenting Brand Experiential strategy
- Work with Marketing Budget Coordinator to track budget on research projects and experiential events
- Serve as the go-to expert for Brand Health and Consumer Insights
- Translate research findings into clear business implications
- Participate in Scorecard process for agency evaluation and feedback
What You’ll Bring:
- University Degree/College Diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications preferred, or related discipline
- 3-5 years of related work experience in the marketing field – preferably agency and/or client side with consumer research experience
- Automotive experience is a strong asset
- Excellent time management skills, ability to work on multiple tasks on a regular basis
- Strong team player and collaborator with a positive attitude
- Capable of working independently and being a self-starter with initiative and strong problem solving, strategic thinking and critical thinking skills
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written for daily work internally as well as with partners and agencies
- Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to conduct professional presentations
- Excellent attention to detail for reviewing documentation and providing feedback
- Ability to work flexible hours; travel is required on an infrequent basis
