LOB Description:
We are seeking a Senior .NET Full Stack Developer to support and evolve a mix of legacy .NET Framework applications and modern .NET solutions. This role spans the full application stack, including ASP.NET UI using Razor, middleware and RESTful services, and backend data solutions using Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience maintaining existing systems while also modernizing and building new functionality using current .NET technologies.
UI / Presentation Layer (ASP.NET & Razor)
- Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces using ASP.NET (MVC / Razor Pages), including support for legacy UI implementations.
- Enhance and modernize existing Razor‑based UI while maintaining stability and usability.
- Integrate UI components with backend REST APIs and middleware services.
- Troubleshoot UI defects, performance issues, and browser compatibility concerns.
Middleware / Services Layer
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and middleware services using C#.
- Support both legacy .NET Framework services and modern .NET (Core / .NET 6+) services.
- Implement business logic, validation, security, logging, and error handling.
- Ensure backward compatibility where required while contributing to modernization efforts.
Backend / Data Layer
- Design and maintain backend data solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Develop and optimize tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and indexes.
- Diagnose and resolve query, performance, locking, and data integrity issues.
- Support database changes across both legacy applications and modernized components.
AI‑Assisted Development & Modern Engineering Practices
- Use GitHub Copilot, Visual Studio Copilot, and other AI models as development accelerators (not replacements for sound engineering judgment).
- Apply AI tools to:
- Rapidly understand and document legacy .NET Framework codebases
- Summarize complex logic and architectural patterns
- Generate starter code, refactoring suggestions, and test cases
- Improve productivity and reduce time‑to‑delivery for new features
- Critically evaluate AI‑generated output to ensure correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.

Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in .NET full stack development.
- Strong expertise with C# and development in Visual Studio.
- Hands‑on experience supporting legacy .NET Framework applications.
- Experience building applications with modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+).
- Strong experience with ASP.NET UI using Razor (MVC or Razor Pages).
- Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, including query tuning.
- Experience with layered / multi‑tier application architectures.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
- Experience modernizing or migrating applications from .NET Framework to modern .NET.
- ORM and data access experience (e.g., Entity Framework / EF Core, Dapper).
- Authentication and authorization experience (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT).
