Staff Engineer Field Application Engineering

Familiar with software development/verification of industrial & IOT applications and assist and know how to guide in firmware development, testing and verification of new chips.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

1. Familiar with software development/verification of industrial & IOT applications and assist and know how to guide in firmware development, testing and verification of new chips.

2. Support MCU, mainly responsible for Edge AI data collection, pre-processing and analysis, famous with TinyML & ELM, and work closely with product line AE

3. Solve customer problems by function verification by hardware debugging, utilizing SDKs and IDEs for real time control MCU, Edge AI MCU and general-purpose MCUs, ensuring a streamlined and efficient workflow.

4. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support design-in activities across a wide range of customers, including Tier 1 and OEMs, with the goal of maximizing the inclusion of Infineon products in customers’ BOMs for IoT applications.

5. Work as first level technical contact window for direct and joint account customers with a focus on IOT products.

6. Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and development guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and long-term team maintenance.

7. On-site support available to assist customer build up MCU platform by system integration and cross selling with IOT products to implement customer requestee for target application.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

1. Bachelor/Master in Electrical/Electronics from reputed Institutes

2. Minimum 7 years of Firmware(FW) experience.

3. Experience in C/C++ and Python programming Language.

4. Good experience with ARM processor Architecture.

5. Experience in firmware development environment such as Eclipse IDE, VScode IDE, etc.

6. Experience with the GNU software development toolchain, including gcc, binutils and gnumake.

7. Familiar with various debugging techniques and experience in using debugging tool such as J-LINK/J-TRACE, etc.

8. Communication interface skills: I2C, UART, CAN, USB, SDIO,SPI.. etc.

9. Knowledge of real-time operating systems(RTOS). (e.g ARM/RISC V)

10. Knowledge of version control tool such as Git is a plus.

11. Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
